During the review of the budget for the 'Twin City Forum,' DPP Taipei city councilors raised questions and demanded that former mayor Ko Wen-je be pursued for the expenses incurred during his tenure as mayor, which have not been settled to date. In response, Ko's wife, Chen Pei-chi, expressed that if Mayor Chiang has been bothered by this matter, she will promptly pay the outstanding amount using her hospital salary account. She emphasized the need to adhere to principles without double standards, stating that if the forum is exclusive to Taipei and Shanghai, then Mayor Chiang should bear the personal cost if necessary. Chen questioned the amount spent on the forum last year and called for transparency from Mayor Chiang's office. She urged for consistent regulations across mayors irrespective of political affiliations and increased military activities in the region.
