During a joint meeting of the Legislative Yuan's Transportation Committee, DPP legislators raised objections and collectively walked out in protest. Following the enactment of parliamentary rights reforms, the Kuomintang and People First Party parliamentary caucuses proposed the establishment of a Mirror TV investigation task force at a joint meeting of the Transportation, Judiciary, and Legal Affairs Committees. Despite DPP objections and walkout, the blue and white parties successfully passed the establishment of the investigative task force and operational guidelines, with KMT legislator Wu Tsung-Hsien nominated as the convenor. This marks the first activation of the parliament's investigative authority following the parliamentary rights reforms. The task force will operate from July 3 to December 31 and can hold hearings if necessary.
