Multiple regions in mainland China, including Guangxi and Fujian, have been hit by severe floods due to heavy rainfall. Guangxi's Guilin experienced its worst flood in 26 years, with authorities admitting a delay in issuing warnings. In Fujian, over 700,000 people have been affected with an estimated economic loss of 98.4 billion yuan. The floods in Guangxi led to unexpected situations for residents, with delayed SMS alerts cited as a reason for not being adequately prepared, resulting in property damage. Additionally, Anhui's Yucun Township in Huangshan has also suffered severe damage from secondary disasters such as flooding and landslides.
