Legislative Yuan's Internal Affairs Committee continued reviewing the amendment of the 'Election and Recall Act' on July 8th. The Kuomintang party accused Democratic Progressive Party member Huang Chie of entering the meeting room before it opened at 7 a.m. with a locksmith around 5 a.m. Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu stated that whether it was the legislator herself, an assistant, or an outsider locksmith who opened the lock is currently being investigated. This incident is considered very serious, with Han planning to report the findings to party leaders soon. The Kuomintang parliamentary caucus expressed strong objections to the DPP's actions and called for condemnation.
