A sebaceous cyst, related to individual body constitution, may mistakenly be confused with acne or lipoma, but squeezing it can lead to infection or inflammation. Dermatologist Huang Qianyao warns against improper squeezing, as it can increase the risk of infection. Once a sebaceous cyst exceeds 2 cm in size or becomes inflamed, surgical removal is recommended to prevent complications. It's advised to seek medical treatment if the cyst recurs, grows, or causes discomfort, instead of attempting to squeeze it at home to avoid potential infections.
