In an exclusive report on July 2, 2024, at 10:53 PM, journalist Zhang Xiangyu highlighted the Central Health Insurance Administration's (NHIA) ongoing efforts to support vulnerable populations by establishing a 'Vulnerable Population Notification Platform' and collaborating across agencies to provide immediate assistance in resolving health insurance debts for the vulnerable. Through this platform, agencies like the New Taipei Branch of the Executive Yuan's Administrative Enforcement Agency report cases to NHIA, initiating help in applying for 'Health Insurance Love Accounts' to settle health insurance debts. This collaboration aims to ensure medical rights and peace of mind for vulnerable populations seeking medical care. Through such interagency cooperation, over 1,221 insured individuals (including family members) have benefited in the past three years, with assistance totaling over 23.63 million NT dollars. NHIA remains committed to protecting vulnerable populations and plans to continue this collaborative effort to provide assistance through various channels to economically disadvantaged individuals. Director Li Chunfu emphasized that caring for the vulnerable is a vision of national health insurance, and the 'Health Insurance Love Accounts' rely on donations from kind-hearted individuals to support vulnerable families in need.
