Taiwan Railways faced more disruptions as a large stone fell on the East Line rail tracks, while a massive boulder near Heping Station teetered on the hillside. Trains between Yuli and Dongli also experienced track deformities, causing significant shaking. Although repairs were made, concerns over rail safety persist amid frequent incidents due to aftershocks and heavy rains leading to landslides and rockfalls in Hualien. The railway authorities are investigating the causes of the incidents as public anxiety grows.
