According to the latest weather report, various regions in Taiwan, as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, will be mostly cloudy to sunny today with sporadic brief showers in the southeast and Hengchun Peninsula. In the afternoon, there will be localized thunderstorms in major Taipei, central, northeast, and eastern areas, with a chance of heavy rain in mountainous regions. The Central Weather Bureau warns of high temperatures ranging from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, possibly higher in certain areas, urging people to stay hydrated and protect themselves from the heat. Heat warnings have been issued for several counties and cities, including Taipei, New Taipei, and Yunlin, where extreme temperatures exceeding 36 to 38 degrees Celsius are expected. Taipei's Shezi station recorded 38.5 degrees Celsius, highlighting the ongoing heatwave in the region.
