According to the latest news from Yahoo News, the Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain advisory predicting short periods of intense rainfall due to vigorous convective cloud development in the afternoon. There is a high probability of localized heavy rain in areas including Hsinchu northward, Hualien, Miaoli to Nantou, and the mountainous regions of Yilan today. Residents are advised to beware of thunderstorms, strong gusts, landslides, rockfalls, and flash floods in mountainous areas. The heavy rain warning includes Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Yilan County, and Hualien County.
