As of June 21, 2024, at 4:21 am, Central Weather Bureau issued a thunderstorm warning for Taichung City and Nantou County until 4:45 pm, with Taipei and New Taipei still on alert. The bureau urges precautions against heavy rainfall, lightning, flooding in low-lying areas, and low visibility. Due to vigorous convective cloud development, the heavy rain is expected to continue into the night, especially in Greater Taipei, Nantou, northern central areas, Yilan, and Hualien mountainous regions. Stay vigilant in the designated warning areas.
