According to a report by 'Peninsula TV' on June 12, 2024, Lebanese Hezbollah, backed by Iran, launched hundreds of rockets towards northern Israel, retaliating against an Israeli airstrike that killed its senior commander. Israel claimed to have intercepted most of the attacks, with only a few causing explosions on the ground. This retaliation marks the largest rocket attack since the outbreak of the conflict, raising concerns of escalating violence in the region. Efforts are being made towards a ceasefire agreement following preliminary responses from Hamas, aiming to ease the conflict in the Middle East.
