The Central Weather Bureau has issued a high temperature alert for 17 counties and cities in Taiwan, with Yunlin County potentially hitting an extreme high of 38 degrees. 12 areas are on orange alert for a continuous high of 36 degrees. Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, stay hydrated, prevent heat injuries, cool indoor spaces, look after vulnerable groups, and take precautions against heat-related issues. The alert includes Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, and other regions.
