Today, most areas are mostly cloudy to sunny, with hot temperatures reaching around 32 to 36 degrees, and some areas may see temperatures above 36 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected to expand in the afternoon due to weakening Pacific high pressure, with higher chances of rain in central to northern areas, northeast regions, eastern areas, and mountainous regions. The Central Weather Bureau has issued high-temperature alerts for 13 counties and cities in Taiwan, warning of potential heatwaves and thunderstorms. South Taiwan may experience temperatures exceeding 37 degrees, prompting precautions against heatstroke. Continuous monitoring and preparation for sudden weather changes are advised.
