The Taiwan International Medical and Health Care Exhibition 2024 (Medical Taiwan 2024), held from June 20 to 22 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, showcased the new face of the medical industry. Various themed pavilions, such as the 'Smart Healthcare Pavilion' and the 'Telemedicine and Smart Medical Equipment Pavilion,' displayed futuristic medical device technologies like telemedicine and precision diagnostics. Notable exhibits included Japan's wearable devices for swallowing difficulties and back support wearables. Vice President Hsiao Mei-chin pledged to enhance regulations to keep up with digital transformation and AI advancements, fostering new opportunities for Taiwan's medical industry to thrive. Industry integration of medical care and technology is expected to bring systemic changes, with AI becoming a smart medical companion. The exhibition also featured AI solutions for elderly care, health monitoring, and intelligent diagnostics, boosting disease precision and patient care efficiency.
