Every June, students in Yunlin and Changhua counties eagerly anticipate the 'Taiping Mazu Award' from the Fuxing Palace in Xiluo, which has become one of the most popular awards at local graduation ceremonies. This year, graduates from Xiluo Agricultural and Industrial High School were recipients for the first time, expressing overwhelming joy upon unboxing the practical and stylish awards valued at around NT$2500. The award, with 18 years of history, aims to pass on Mazu's compassionate spirit and care for students, benefiting over 5000 students in 10 townships. The chairman of Fuxing Palace, Yang Wenzhong, hopes the award recipients will continue to embody Mazu's spirit of love and compassion, becoming seeds of hope for society's positive influence in the future.
