Reported 6 months ago

Larne swimmer Danielle Hill has secured her spot at the Paris Olympics by achieving the qualifying time of 59.11 in the 100m backstroke at the Irish National Swimming Championships. This accomplishment marks her second consecutive Olympic qualification, having also made it to the Tokyo Olympics. Hill's achievement of breaking the one-minute barrier in the event makes her the first Irish woman to do so. Conor Ferguson, another Larne swimmer, will have one final opportunity to reach the Paris qualifying time in the 100m backstroke final after narrowly missing out in the semi-finals.
