E.Sun Financial Holding (2890), with 357,000 shareholders, announced a record-breaking first half profit of 12.2 billion, a 20% increase from the previous year. The bank and securities subsidiaries both achieved new highs with the financial holding group reaching an EPS of 0.99, nearing the 1 yuan mark. The strong performance was attributed to the vibrant capital market and dividend income, with the group's net profit after tax in June at 1.772 billion, a decrease of 8.1% from the previous year, but a significant increase of 20.8% in the first half of the year. Both the bank and securities subsidiaries achieved record profits for the same period as well.
