Honda Issues Recall for 1.7 Million Vehicles Over Steering Concerns

Reported 3 months ago

Honda is recalling nearly 1.7 million vehicles due to a steering gearbox assembly issue that could create excessive internal friction, making it difficult to steer and potentially leading to crashes. The recall affects select models from 2022 to 2025, including Acura Integras and Honda Civics. Though 145 complaints prompted an investigation, there have been no reported accidents or injuries linked to the defect. Owners will receive notification letters and can get repairs done at no cost.
