Honda's Caution on EV Production Due to Trump's Policies

Reported 1 day ago

Honda is proceeding cautiously with new electric vehicle production as uncertainty looms over President-elect Trump's industrial policies. During the CES technology conference, Honda's Executive Vice President, Noriya Kaihara, expressed concerns about starting production of electric models and battery plans in Canada under potential government regulations. The automaker aims to sell only electric and fuel cell vehicles by 2040 while also addressing the possibility of production relocation if tariffs on imported vehicles from Mexico are implemented.
