Hong Kong Pop Star-Backed Esports Firm NIP Group Files for US IPO

NIP Group Inc., an esports company backed by Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang, has filed for an IPO in the US. Co-founder Mario Ho holds a 14.2% stake in the Sweden-headquartered company, which includes Ninjas In Pyjamas and ESV5 competing in games like League of Legends. Despite a net loss in 2023, NIP Group has eyes on the growing esports industry, aiming for shares to trade on Nasdaq under NIPG with backing from Deutsche Bank, China International Capital Corp., US Tiger Securities Inc., and GF Securities Hong Kong.
