On July 3, 2024, with the strengthening of the Pacific high-pressure system, Taiwan will experience southeasterly winds, leading to clear to partly cloudy weather across the island. Temperatures will reach 35-37 degrees Celsius, with some southern areas possibly exceeding 38 degrees. Sun protection and staying hydrated are advised to prevent heat-related illnesses. Beware of sporadic thunderstorms in various regions, with a risk of localized heavy rain in central-southern areas and mountainous regions. The high temperatures and thunderstorms will persist from July 4 to July 6, with temperatures possibly exceeding 37 degrees in parts of Greater Taipei on July 5 and 6. Showers are expected in central-southern regions on the morning of July 6. From July 7 to July 9, sunny to partly cloudy skies will prevail with hot temperatures and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon in the western regions and mountains.
