The Central Weather Bureau warned that tomorrow, the Taipei-New Taipei area and Hualien should be prepared for temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius, with the southern region experiencing local heavy rain throughout the day until Sunday. Starting Monday, the wind will shift to southerly, leading to reduced rainfall. Former director of the Meteorological Bureau, Zheng Mingdian, noted that this year's rainy season is atypical due to the unusually low rainfall records and short-term forecasts. Residents in the Taipei-New Taipei area and Hualien are advised to take precautions against heatstroke as temperatures rise. Southern Taiwan can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms until Sunday, with conditions improving early next week.
