According to TVBS News on June 21, 2024, due to a strong Pacific high-pressure system, Taiwan is experiencing weaker southerly winds, resulting in partly cloudy to clear skies in various areas. While isolated rain is expected in the southeast and Hengchun Peninsula, central and northern regions, Yilan, Hualien, and mountainous areas need to be cautious of afternoon thunderstorms, especially in the southern side of Greater Taipei. Temperatures range from 31 to 36 degrees Celsius, peaking above 36 degrees in certain locations, emphasizing the need for sun protection, staying hydrated, and carrying rain gear when going out. The weekend will remain hot with clear skies and temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees. Rainfall is expected to decrease during the weekend but become more apparent in eastern regions next week.
