Due to the influence of the southwest wind, various parts of Taiwan are experiencing intense heat, with the Taiwan Central Weather Bureau warning that Saturday will be the hottest day in Greater Taipei and Hualien. The heat index in Taipei City may reach up to 43 degrees, and in other areas it could range from 37 to 39 degrees. The muggy weather is expected to last for at least two more weeks with minimal rainfall during the day.
