Bears Notice Gervon Dexter Improvements Pre-Pads

Reported 6 months ago

The Bears have observed improvements in second-year defensive tackle Gervon Dexter even before practicing in pads. Head coach Matt Eberflus noted Dexter's leaner physique and improved quickness, particularly in reacting off the snap and attacking a single gap as opposed to reading and reacting like in college. Defensive coordinator Eric Washington praised Dexter's footwork and growing confidence from Year One to Year Two, with Dexter expected to step up as a starter this season due to changes in the defensive lineup.
