Chinese actor Hu Ge left Taiwan after a quick 22-hour visit today, following the filming of the television drama 'Blooming Flowers' alongside Ma Yili, Tiffany Tang, and Xin Zhilei, directed by Wong Kar-wai. The series will be shown in Taiwan with five episodes aired weekly, featuring a bilingual version on MyVideo to provide an immersive experience of 60s-90s old Shanghai. Director Wong Kar-wai, who grew up in Hong Kong and has family in Shanghai, highlighted the importance of the characters' experiences, aiming to bring a fresh perspective to the adaptation. Additionally, to present an authentic picture of 60s-90s Shanghai, most actors spoke Shanghainese during filming, creating a wave of interest in the dialect and the series.
