After being severely hit by the 0403 earthquake, with over 2000 households tagged with red and yellow labels, Hualien's reconstruction efforts have been prolonged. The county government held a meeting with representatives from red-labeled houses to discuss and exchange views face-to-face, aiming to be more people-oriented and advance Hualien's progress. County Chief Xu Zhenwei presided over the meeting, listening to residents' voices and emphasizing efforts to secure reconstruction funds for the maximum benefit of villagers. Various measures were proposed to assist in rebuilding homes, with ongoing efforts to secure more assistance from the central government.
