Huang Kuo-chang Questions, Lin Chih-chun Criticizes for 'Talking Nonsense with Eyes Open, Becoming More Pitiful'

Reported 12 months ago

In response to the constitutional interpretation of parliamentary reform, Huang Kuo-chang from the People's Party recently claimed that the Grand Justices should hold verbal debates and not just rely on written requests submitted by the DPP and President Lai Ching-te for immediate provisional dispositions, which was refuted by Lin Ming-hsin of the Executive Yuan. Lin Chih-chun, a lawyer, criticized Huang for questioning the Executive Yuan's stance of making judgments based solely on one-sided arguments, calling him increasingly pitiful. Lin Chih-chun further rebuked Huang for equating 'not holding verbal debates' with 'no debate at all,' emphasizing that only certain cases like the impeachment of the president or dissolution of political parties require verbal debate according to the Constitution. He also criticized Huang for speaking nonsense and disregarding legal provisions, warning against blindly following calls for justice without considering legalities.
