Huang Kuo-chang willing to cooperate with DPP Chiou to offer olive branch on issues; Ko Chien-ming mocks 'stop talking nonsense'

Reported 11 months ago

Since the opening of the Legislative Yuan, the Kuomintang and the People First Party have cooperated on many controversial bills, leading to criticisms of enhancing parliamentary powers. However, Huang Kuo-chang, the PFP's convener, expressed willingness to cooperate with the Democratic Progressive Party by extending olive branches on issues such as whistleblower protection law. In response, DPP's Chiou Chien-ming questioned who would dare to accept Huang's olive branch, calling Huang unreliable and suggesting that only Fu Kun-chi and Xi Jinping would accept it. Additionally, the KMT's Fu Kun-chi stated that if the review of the parliament's empowerment bill fails, Premier Su Tseng-chang should step down, to which Chiou asked if Fu had the constitutional common sense, implying Fu's lack of credibility.
