IKEA has announced the acquisition of U.S. logistics tech company Locus, aiming to streamline its delivery process and boost online sales. This move is part of Ingka Group's $2.2 billion investment in the U.S. market, which also faces challenges from rising tariffs. The integration of Locus’s AI technology is expected to cut delivery costs by €100 million annually and improve customer experience by offering more delivery options and real-time updates. Locus will operate independently while continuing to serve other clients.
