A cyber attack on software provider CDK has led to a widespread outage among over 15,000 US auto dealer locations, forcing some to resort to manual paperwork. CDK's dealer management system, used for completing deals and monitoring store profitability, has been significantly impacted. Although CDK is working on restoration, the outage has affected operations at major auto retailers like AutoNation and Lithia Motors. Despite the disruptions, market research suggests that sales are expected to recover in July.
