Implementation of Actual Cost Payment System Postponed to October, Boosts Sales of Health and Accident Insurances

Reported 8 months ago

The implementation of the actual cost payment system was delayed to October, leading several life insurance companies to make adjustments to their policies. This change has resulted in increased sales of health and accident insurances in recent months. From January to May, health insurance sales reached 18.7 billion NT dollars with a 17% yearly increase, while accident insurance sales reached 5.7 billion NT dollars with a 4% yearly increase. The new system focusing on 'damage compensation' has spurred a growing interest in health and accident insurances among consumers.
