As temperatures soar to 36 degrees due to the influence of the southwestern wind descent, the Central Weather Bureau issues consecutive high-temperature alerts, prompting people to stay indoors and turn on the air conditioner to keep cool. However, a particular method of air conditioner installation has sparked criticism, even leading Taiwan Power Company to confirm that it is 'inefficient and not cool enough'. Concerns were raised about a recently installed air conditioner's location in the living room, positioned in a groove and placed too close to the walls, causing ventilation issues and potentially reducing cooling efficiency. Taiwan Power advises against concealing air conditioners behind walls as it may hinder airflow and cooling effectiveness. They suggest purchasing energy-efficient air conditioners, setting the temperature between 26-28 degrees Celsius, and using electric fans to save energy.
