Infineon, a semiconductor giant in power and IoT, announced the launch of the 'Advanced Automotive and Wireless Communication Semiconductor Research Partner Development Program' in Taiwan, with an estimated total investment of NTD 1.2 billion. The initiative aims to upgrade the existing wireless communication R&D lab in Taiwan to establish the 'Infineon Advanced Automotive and Wireless Communication Semiconductor R&D Center,' fostering collaborations with local industry partners to develop automotive-grade communication chips and innovative solutions. This expansion is expected to benefit MCU and power management IC manufacturers and enhance Taiwan's visibility in the global semiconductor supply chain, focusing on fostering talent in automotive and wireless technologies.
