In an exclusive report on July 1, 2024, a disaster prevention drill was conducted in Taichung City to enhance disaster response capabilities and mechanisms due to frequent extreme weather events caused by climate change. The exercise involved tabletop simulations in the morning and live drills in the afternoon, aiming to assess response measures, improve communication and coordination among government agencies, and strengthen disaster preparedness.
