The Iranian presidential election will take place on Wednesday, and two conservative candidates announced their withdrawal before the election, urging supporters to unite. A total of four candidates, including the Parliament Speaker Qalibaf, are participating in the election. In the run-up to the presidential election, two extreme conservative candidates, including Vice President Hashemi, have successively withdrawn from the election, urging conservative candidates Jali and Qalibaf to unite to prevent reformist candidate Pezeshkian, former Minister of Health, from winning and stopping former President Rohani's camp from forming a new government. The first round of the election will select the two candidates with the highest number of votes, followed by a second round of voting.
