Iraq's oil ministry announced plans to elevate the country's oil production capacity to more than 6 million barrels per day by 2029, driven by oil exploration and drilling initiatives, including a significant partnership with BP to redevelop Kirkuk oil and gas fields. Currently, Iraq produces around 4 million barrels per day and remains a key player in the OPEC+ group, which is managing output through collective agreements.
