On June 21, 2024, the Israeli military conducted a large-scale attack on Rafah City in southern Gaza, resulting in 25 deaths and 50 injuries. Local refugees described it as 'the most violent night' in Rafah City. The attacks continued in Rafah City and other cities in the Gaza Strip, with at least 45 fatalities reported. Israeli tanks were reported to have hit a refugee camp in the west of Rafah City. The ongoing conflict has turned Rafah City, once considered a safe area, into a new bloody conflict zone.
