Ivory Coast anticipates a rebound in cocoa production next season, aiming to harvest 2 million tons in the 2024-25 crop year starting October 1st, up from the 1.8 million tons estimated for the current season. The country has already sold 800,000 tons of the upcoming harvest, but forward sales were temporarily halted by the industry regulator. Factors contributing to the optimism include better weather conditions, crackdown on cocoa smuggling, and expectations for a better crop in Ghana as well.
