Japan Manufacturers' Confidence Declines Amid Trade Concerns

Reported about 16 hours ago

A recent Reuters poll reveals that Japanese manufacturers' confidence decreased in June due to uncertainties surrounding U.S. tariffs and declining demand from China. The manufacturers' index fell from plus 8 in May to plus 6, with expectations of further decline to plus 2 in the next three months. Concerns were particularly noted in the automotive sector, where rising tariffs have led to reduced production. Conversely, the service sector maintained a stable confidence level at plus 30, although expectations suggest a weakening outlook.
