Japanese actress Rena Tanaka, known for her fluent Chinese, attended the screening event of the film 'Fukutanimura Incident' at the 26th Taipei Film Festival. Accompanying her was director Tatsuya Mori, producer Sosuke Kobayashi, actors Eita, and Eita Asae. Eita, who has Taiwanese roots and previously worked in Taiwan, visited as part of a homecoming. The film, directed by Mori, is a fictional adaptation of the historical 'Fukutanimura Incident', portraying racial tensions in Japan post-1923 Kanto Earthquake. The director shared his inspiration for the film and difficulties in its production process, hoping for a release in Taiwan. Tanaka, who previously acted in Taiwanese films and is fluent in Chinese, expressed gratitude for the film's screening in Taiwan and praised the audience's humor discovery in the serious plot. Actor Eita also expressed appreciation for the fan support and shared his positive impressions of Taiwan. Actor Eita Asae, playing a reporter in the film, highlighted the importance of reducing discrimination based on language and culture.
