Japanese transport ministry officials conducted an on-site investigation at Toyota Motor's headquarters following certification irregularities found in its vehicle model applications. The fallout from a safety test scandal at Toyota's Daihatsu unit has also impacted other Japanese automakers like Mazda, Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha Motor, all of whom submitted flawed or manipulated data for certification.
