Japanese food giant Morinaga Seika faced a food safety crisis as its baby bread cookie 'マンナボーロ' (Mannaboro) was found to possibly contain small animal feces, leading to an urgent product recall. Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration stated that 6 local importers received a total of 231.92 kilograms of the product and are verifying if they match the items being recalled by the manufacturer. Morinaga initiated the recall after suspected contamination during production, although no health issues have been reported. The company apologized and promised stricter management to prevent similar incidents in the future.
