Jeff Bezos seized the opportunity as Amazon's stock hit a record high, selling off a large portion of his shares to cash in around $5 billion. Following the AI boom, Amazon's stock surged, nearing the crucial $200 mark. Bezos, after stepping down as Amazon's CEO, has sold off shares multiple times and this time plans to sell 25 million shares translating to over $5 billion with Amazon's post-trading price around $197.59 per share. Despite the sale, Bezos still holds 9.12 billion Amazon shares, representing 8.8% of the publicly traded shares. Bezos, focusing on his space venture Blue Origin, now holds assets worth $214.4 billion, ranking as the second on Forbes' billionaire list.
