The National Health Administration announced that starting in July, children under 7 with health insurance coverage will be eligible for 6 developmental assessments, aiming to detect developmental delays early and provide timely intervention. The assessment program, based on recommendations from the CDC and local experts, will focus on children aged 6 to under 7, with each child entitled to 6 assessments to enhance child health. The program will be funded by the National Health Administration through tobacco health welfare donations, with each assessment costing NT$400 and an incentive fee of NT$250 for abnormal cases, not included in the national health budget.
