Starting from April, Kaohsiung Light Rail has been conducting a pilot program for 'late-night supplementary services,' but the passenger volume has been extremely low, averaging only 3 to 4 passengers per trip during the late-night period. There have been criticisms that the schedules should align with the metro system for better efficiency and responsiveness to public needs. As the trial period nears its end on June 14, discussions on necessary adjustments are being raised to enhance usability and meet commuter demands.
