Kaohsiung Math Teacher Helps Students Inflate Grades, Pays 60,000 to Avoid Prosecution

A math teacher at a high school in Kaohsiung altered students' monthly test scores three times since the year 111 of the Republic of China, with up to 22 students affected, in an attempt to improve the class's overall performance. The teacher, Chen, was granted a deferred prosecution for forgery of documents due to having no prior record, but was required to pay 60,000 to the public treasury. This incident came to light when a student reported the discrepancies in test scores to the school authorities, leading to an investigation by the Kaohsiung District Prosecutor’s Office.
