A recent discovery by a netizen revealed that some stations of the Kaohsiung Metro offer a hidden service where passengers can purchase discounted movie tickets, hotel vouchers, exhibition tickets, and more. This news sparked discussions online and led some netizens to suggest that the Taipei Metro should also introduce a similar service. The Kaohsiung Metro introduced its ticket sales service in September 2020 at select stations, allowing cash transactions only.
