In an incident in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City, an 81-year-old man surnamed Wu fell from the 3rd floor to a red brick pile on the 1st floor while working on renovations in a townhouse, sustaining fractures and abrasions. Police arrived at the scene and promptly transported him to receive medical treatment. The specific cause of the accident is still under investigation. Wu, who was handling construction work in the townhouse, accidentally stepped into empty space on the 3rd floor balcony and the safety harness was not securely fastened, leading to his fall onto the red brick pile on the 1st floor.
