The Kaohsiung City Government Police Department held the '113th Police Day Celebration' on June 13th, leading up to Police Day by organizing a blood donation event to support the idea of 'donate blood, save lives.' Commissioner Lin Yen-Tien led the colleagues and their families in donating blood, showcasing compassion for adding meaning to Police Day. Mayor Chen Chi-Mai and Vice-Speaker Tseng Chun-Chieh also attended, commending 9 outstanding police officers, 2 exemplary police mothers, and a 30-year veteran with the Excellent Police Medal, acknowledging their hard work and contributions to solving significant cases. Among the awardees, two female officers stood out for their exceptional performance in combating fraud and other major crimes, showcasing the strength of women in the police force. The event featured various talents from the police colleagues, including performances by the 'White Pigeon Police Band' and the indigenous police band 'Ki Sa Mu La,' enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. Mayor Chen Chi-Mai highly praised all police officers for their security achievements under Commissioner Lin Yen-Tien's leadership, expressing gratitude for their efforts in ensuring safety and traffic control during large events and honoring police families while urging the Police Department to continue maintaining Kaohsiung's vibrancy and security achievements.
